A bar association is a professional association of lawyers. In New Jersey each County has its own bar association. There is also a central NJ State Bar Association [2] whose membership is open to all attorneys admitted to practice in New Jersey.
Generally, bar associations serve as a liaison between lawyers, judges, and the legal community. Bar associations also provide a wealth of resources to its members, including continuing legal education courses, promoting professionalism, improvements and advancements in our courts and judicial system, and providing mentoring programs.
