LoFaro & Reiser Files Internet Fraud Case in Federal Court Against Online Auction Website Bidsauce.com


Internet Auction Fraud New JerseyOn May 13, 2013, partner Glenn R. Reiser filed suit in federal court on behalf of several Fair Lawn, NJ residents who allege to have been defrauded by the online auction website Bidsauce.com.  The case is pending in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Essentially, our clients allege that the defendants improperly terminated their auction accounts because they were winning too many bids, and refused to ship them merchandise for the bids they had previously won.  Pursuant to the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, the suit seeks compensatory damages of more than $210,000 representing 3 times the amount of the losses our clients claim to have sustained as a result of the defendants’ unconscionable business practices, including false advertising.
